About Us

eLoom is a mission-driven company led by experienced leaders from the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.

Our Origin Story

In 2015 Patrick Germain, the Chief Strategy Officer and R. Aaron LaMar, the Chief Information Officer at a large multi-service non-profit organization began a project to integrate data from all service areas to produce a comprehensive and real-time view of organizational performance. After years of customizing and integrating various off-the-shelf products to meet this need, they had created a system that pulled data from the organizations’ various databases, including eClinicalWorks®*, merged it into a data warehouse, linked client records across systems, and produced automated reports and dashboards to providers, managers, administrative staff and executives so that they had the information they needed to be as effective as possible.

As the success of the solution grew within the organization, the needs and expectations outgrew the capabilities of the off-the-shelf products on which it was built. At the same time, other healthcare providers in the New York learned about the solution and began seeking advice on how to implement similar systems. Aaron, unable to find tools up to the task, turned to the software development company he founded in 1998, and tasked it with writing the tools he needed. We partnered with a consulting firm with over 30 years in healthcare reporting and data analysis to develop a comprehensive and powerful set of reports and dashboards, and the result is eLoom, a solution that meets your real world needs.

Meet our CEO

Patrick Germain

Patrick has spent his entire career in the non-profit and government sectors. He began as a bilingual family counselor at a homeless family shelter, and spent the next 12 years working in multi-service non-profit organizations in roles focused on developing and using data to improve service quality, achieve greater impact, and inform organizational strategy – culminating in his role as Chief Strategy Officer at Project Renewal. He then joined the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene where he served as Executive Director of Policy, Planning and Strategic Data Use, before leaving government service to launch his own consultancy, Germain Impact Solutions, and eLoom.
